Q. Will you place ads on my site?
A. lcsworld will NOT place ads on your site unles it is a free web
hosting account.
Q. Do you allow sites to advertise for money, on their web site?
A. Yes, we allow sites to have commercial advertisements.
Q. Do you have a large download file I can test your speed with?
A. Yes, we do you can test the download file here
Q. Can I see some of the websites you host?
A. Yes some sites we host www.retroracing.biz,
manhattanliterary.com, pantheonliterary.com.
Q. What forms of payment do you accept?
A. We accept checks, money orders, cash and all payment methods that google accepts.
Q. Are your server's Unix, or NT?
A. Our servers are Fedora Core 4.
Q. Do you allow adult sites?
A. No, we don't allow adult sites.
Q. Is tax included with my monthly or yearly plan?
A. Yes, tax is included within the price.
Q. Can I pay monthly?
A. Yes, you may pay monthly
Q. Can I host friends?
A. Yes, you may host your friends. but if you want domains added
to your acct then you must contact Louis's Computer Services and
must sign up for them.
Q. How long does it take to setup my account?
A. Your account will be setup automatically within 1hr minutes to 3 days of ordering, when paying with Google Checkout (credit cards etc).
Q. Are there any hidden costs, or setup fees?
A. No
Q. How much is extra space?
A. If you need more disk space cancel your current plan in paypal
then goto the order page and select the higher plan. your account
will be upgraded within 24hrs. If you need more space then our highest
plan offers you can purchase space $10.00 a gig.
Q. Do you offer telnet or shell access?
A. No due to security reason's we do not offer telnet or shell access.You
are still able to unzip files on the server using our file manager
as well as the ability to setup cron jobs.
Q. Can I password protect directories?
A. Yes you can password protect directory's within Monstercontrols.

Q. How long does it take to get my domain working?
A. It usually takes 24-48 hours for a domain to fully propagate.
Q. Can I view my site even though my domain's name servers haven't
propagated yet?
A. no, unless you have a dedicated ip if you do it would http://your
ip here
Q. What do I set my domains name server's to?
A. Please read your welcome e-mail if you have lost your welcome
email you can email support for your server's dns.

Q. Do you have a manual for our control panel?
A. No. Our control panel is Self explanatory. It has tutorials built in
Q. Where do I go to login to my control panel?
A. You go to http://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel
Q. How do I make sub-domains?
A. To make a sub-domain login to your control panel and click sub domains and follow the examples or directions listed.
FTP
Q. Where can I download a free FTP?
A. search google for a free FTP
Q. It's not letting me view my files uploaded files what's wrong?
A. Make sure you are uploading to the right web directory which
is the public_html
folder.
Paths
Q. What is the path to my users web files?
A. The path is /home/username/public_html
Q. What is the local path to perl?
A. The path to perl is /usr/bin/perl
Q. What is the path to ImageMagick?
A. The path to ImageMagick is /usr/X11R6/bin
Q. What is the path to sendmail?
A. The path to sendmail is /usr/sbin/sendmail
E-mail
Q. How do I create email accounts?
A. To create an email account login to your control panel and click
"User Account Maintenance".
Q. I did the above correctly why will it still not work?
A. make sure your password is correct if not reset it. remeber every
user account created for ftp or whatever have an email account.
a user account can not be made if it is already taken.
Q. What do I put for both incoming and outgoing mail server?
A. For both incoming and outgoing mail server put mail.yourdomain.com
Q. Where do I go to check my emails using my browser?
A. yourdomain.com/webmail/
Q. My webmail isn't working
A. send in a support ticket.
CGI/ASP/PHP/MySql/JSP
Q. None of my cgi scripts are working on the server. How do I get
them to work?
A. First make sure that they are chmoded to 777 if that dosen't
work trouble shoot it
Q. How do I create databases and manage them?
A. Login to your control panel and click "Database Management".
Select the user from the list and hit submit and follow the directions
listed. After your database is created you can manage it from phpmyadmin.
This can be found at the very bottom of the first "Database
Management" page..

A. We are using version 4.4.4

A. We are using version 5.8.8.
Q. What version of MySQL are you using?
A. We are using version 4.1.22

A. Our servers automatically stay up to date with the most recent

Q. How do I upgrade my account to a better plan?
A. If you need to upgrade your plan send in a support ticket and it will be done.
Q. How do I get the 30 day money back?

Q. How do I make a payment?
A. login in to the support system. go to your invoice and click pay invoice.
Subdomains
Q. What is a subdomain?
A. www.domain.com is a domain name. A subdomain is anything that
replaces the www in a domain name.forum.lcsworld.com is a subdomain.
www.forum.lcsworld.com is not a subdomain.
